Aluminium Windows & Doors in Perth

Aluminium is the workhorse of Perth windows and doors: tough, low-maintenance and slim enough to carry big panes of glass and big views.

We rip out and refit old windows and doors, supply and install new aluminium systems, and repair the sliding doors that have stopped sliding.

Aluminium windows and doors, done properly

Whether you are opening up a wall to the backyard or just sick of a sliding door that screeches and sticks, aluminium is usually the answer in Perth.

We handle the lot: rip-out and refit of tired old frames, brand new systems, and repairs to keep an existing door running.

Here is the difference: we fabricate the windows and doors in-house, not just install them. Most glaziers steer clear of the aluminium side and stick to glass, so being across both is rare. We build with trade-grade Australian systems from Alspec, Capral and Darley.

What we do

  • In-house fabrication of windows and doors
  • Rip-out and refit of old frames
  • New sliding and stacker doors
  • Bi-fold and hinged doors
  • Sliding door roller repairs
  • Weather sealing and adjustment

We fabricate, not just install

Because we make the windows and doors ourselves, we control the quality from the section up, and we can build to your opening instead of forcing a stock size to fit. The material itself is warranted for 7 to 10 years on its structural integrity, with up to 25 years on the powder-coat finish.

The door style that suits your home

It comes down to how you want the opening to work, how much room you have got, and the look you are after.

Sliding doors01

Sliding doors

The Perth classic. Slides on a track, no swing space needed, and carries big glass for the view.

Stacker doors02

Stacker doors

Multiple panels that stack back over each other, opening up a much wider span to the alfresco.

Bi-fold doors03

Bi-fold doors

Panels that concertina right back, folding the whole wall away for true indoor-outdoor living.

Hinged & French04

Hinged & French

Classic swinging doors for a more traditional look, in slim modern aluminium frames.

Not sure which suits the space? We will measure up and tell you what works and what does not.

The qualified difference

Glazing is not a licensed trade in WA, so anyone can have a crack at it, and plenty turn up with no ticket at all. We turn up with the lot, 15 years on the tools and every job glazed to Australian Standard AS 1288.

Repair

Before you replace

A sliding door that drags, screeches or jumps the track is almost never a reason to replace the whole door. Nine times out of ten it is the rollers and the track.

What we fix

  • Worn and seized rollers
  • Bent and gritted-up tracks
  • Doors off the track or dragging
  • Perished weather seals

We carry common rollers, so a lot of sliding door repairs are sorted in the one visit.

Don't replace what you can repair

Worn rollers, a dirty or bent track and tired seals make a good door feel shot. New rollers, a cleaned-up track and a proper realign bring it back to gliding, for a fraction of a new door.

Repair it or replace it

We will always tell you straight whether your door is worth repairing or whether it is past it. Here is roughly how it falls.

Worth repairing

  • Frame is straight and solid
  • Glass is sound
  • It's the rollers, track or seals
  • Far cheaper than a new door

Time to replace

  • Frame is corroded or bent
  • Glass is cracked or unsafe
  • Parts no longer available
  • You want a different opening

Coastal Perth homes get a hard time from salt air, so frame corrosion is the usual tipping point to replace.

Keeping Perth weather where it belongs

A window or door is only as good as its seal. Perth's wind-driven rain finds every gap, so the install matters as much as the product.

Square install

Frames set plumb and square so doors run true and seals meet evenly all the way round.

Weather seals

Quality brush and rubber seals fitted and adjusted so wind-driven rain stays outside.

Drainage

Weep holes and drainage kept clear so any water that gets in runs straight back out.

Flashing & sealant

Properly flashed and sealed to the wall, the usual culprit behind a leaking window.

Adjustment

Rollers and hardware adjusted on completion so it glides and latches as it should.

Done right, you stop thinking about it, which is the whole point.

Measured right. Cut right. Glazed right.

Step 01

Measured right

On-site laser measure to a 2-3mm tolerance, and the right glass picked for the job and the standard, not guesswork.

Step 02

Cut right

Float, toughened or laminated, cut to size with polished edges. We carry stock sheets so most repairs are done on the spot.

Step 03

Glazed right

Installed clean, sealed properly and made safe. Glazed to AS 1288, signed off and tidied up before we leave.

Questions about aluminium windows & doors

Can't see yours? Call us and we will give you a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

Perth homeowner asking a qualified glazier questions about a glass repair quote
My sliding door is hard to open, do I need a new one?

Almost certainly not. A dragging or screeching slider is nearly always worn rollers and a dirty track, not a dead door. New rollers, a cleaned track and a realign usually bring it back to gliding for a fraction of a replacement.

Can you replace just the glass in an aluminium door?

Yes. If the frame is sound and it is just the glass that is cracked or blown, we reglaze it rather than replace the whole door.

What's the difference between stacker and bi-fold doors?

Stacker panels slide and stack behind each other on a track, opening a wide span with slim sightlines. Bi-folds concertina and fold right back against the wall, opening the whole span but with more frames visible when closed.

Do you do rip-out and refit of old timber windows?

We do. We remove the old timber or aluminium frames and refit new aluminium windows or doors, making good and weather-sealing as we go.

Will a new door leak in heavy Perth rain?

Not when it is installed and sealed properly. Wind-driven rain finds any gap, so we set the frame square, fit quality seals, keep the drainage clear and flash it to the wall.

Do you do commercial aluminium framing?

Yes. We work with commercial framing systems for shopfronts and offices as well as residential windows and doors.

Do you make the windows and doors yourselves?

We do. We fabricate aluminium windows and doors in-house using trade-grade Australian systems from Alspec, Capral and Darley, rather than just installing a stock unit. Most glaziers avoid the aluminium side entirely, so being across both the glass and the fabrication is a big part of what sets us apart.
