One clean piece, no grout to scrub
Tiles look fine on day one. It is the grout that lets them down, going dark and grimy behind a busy cooktop within a year or two.
A glass splashback is a single toughened sheet. You wipe it down and it is done, which is exactly why kitchens keep moving to it.

Coloured, printed and mirror splashbacks
Same easy-clean glass, three very different looks. It comes down to the feel you are after in the room.
01Coloured
Back-painted glass in any colour you like, from crisp white to matte black. The clean, classic splashback look.
02Printed
Your own image or a pattern printed onto the glass, for a feature splashback that is genuinely one of a kind.
03Mirror & smoky
Silver, bronze or smoky grey mirror to bounce light around and make a smaller kitchen feel bigger.
Matte black and warm metallics are having a real moment in Perth kitchens right now, and glass nails both.
The qualified difference
Glazing is not a licensed trade in WA, so anyone can have a crack at it, and plenty turn up with no ticket at all. We turn up with the lot, 15 years on the tools and every job glazed to Australian Standard AS 1288.

Toughened glass
A splashback takes heat, steam, oil and constant wiping. That is where one piece of toughened glass pulls ahead of a grid of tiles.
What you get with glass
- No grout to stain or scrub
- Wipes clean in seconds
- Seamless, modern finish
- Toughened and heat-tolerant
It is more hygienic, it is faster to clean, and it just looks sharper.
Behind a gas cooktop
Glass directly behind a gas burner must be toughened, and there are minimum clearances under AS 1288. We work this out on the measure so your splashback is both legal and safe.

From measure to installed in a few hours
Once the benches and cabinets are in, a splashback is a quick, clean job. Here is how it runs.
Template
We template the wall precisely, marking power points, the cooktop and any cut-outs for switches and rangehoods.
Colour or print
You pick the colour or supply the image, and we match it before the glass is made.
Toughen & cut
The glass is cut, the cut-outs made, then toughened to AS 1288 for heat and safety.
Install
We bond it to the wall clean and level, usually a 3 to 4 hour job with no mess left behind.
We quote up front once we have measured, with no surprises on the invoice.
Measured right. Cut right. Glazed right.
Measured right
On-site laser measure to a 2-3mm tolerance, and the right glass picked for the job and the standard, not guesswork.
Cut right
Float, toughened or laminated, cut to size with polished edges. We carry stock sheets so most repairs are done on the spot.
Glazed right
Installed clean, sealed properly and made safe. Glazed to AS 1288, signed off and tidied up before we leave.

Questions about glass splashbacks
Can't see yours? Call us and we will give you a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

Can you put a glass splashback behind a gas cooktop?
Yes, with toughened glass and the right clearances. AS 1288 sets minimum distances behind a gas burner, and we work them out on the measure so it is safe and compliant.
How long does a splashback take to install?
The install itself is usually 3 to 4 hours once the glass is made. The lead time before that is the template, your colour choice, and toughening, which takes a few days.
Can I have any colour?
Pretty much. Coloured splashbacks are back-painted, so we can match almost any colour, including matte and metallic finishes. Bring a sample or a paint code and we will match it.
Are glass splashbacks easy to clean?
That is the whole point. One seamless sheet with no grout lines, so a quick wipe clears grease and splatter. Nothing to scrub and nowhere for mould to grow.
Can you print an image on the splashback?
Yes. We can print your own photo or a pattern straight onto the glass for a one-of-a-kind feature splashback.
Do you template, or do I measure?
We template it ourselves so the cut-outs for power points and the cooktop line up exactly. A splashback has no grout to fudge a gap, so it has to be measured properly.
